Small town heartthrob, Sushant Singh Rajput no more
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has reportedly died by suicide at his Bandra residence. Mumbai Police have confirmed the news of the MS Dhoni fame actor, found hanging in his Bandra apartment. A team has reached his house at Carter Road, for further investigation.
According to sources, the charming actor who was 34 years old, was facing financial troubles and was mentally disturbed for some time now.
Sushant Singh Rajput, who was last seen in Netflix’s Drive, had made his debut with Kai Po Che in 2014 and later starred in films such as PK, Kedarnath, Chhichhore, Shudh Desi Romance and MS Dhoni: The Untold Journey.
He had made his acting debut with Zee TV serial Pavitra Rishta, hailed from a small town of Maldhia at Badhra Kothi of Bihar’s Purnea district.
The actor had recently expressed grief over his former manager Disha Salian’s alleged suicide news, that came in only a week ago.
Bollywood Shocked, condolences pour in
Bollywood is left shocked after receiving the news. Anurag Kashyap, who was one among the first to break it on his, Twitter said, “Wtf .. this is not true.”
Akshay Kumar wrote, “Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless…I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in Chhichhore and telling my friend Sajid, its producer how much I’d enjoyed the film and wish I’d been a part of it. Such a talented actor…may God give strength to his family.”
Indian TV Producer and director, Ekta Kapoor reacted saying, “Not fair Sushi! One week, everything changed! Not fair my baby!”
Ritesh Deshmukh tweeted, “Shocked beyond words! #SushantSinghRajput no more….. deeply saddened!!” Prominent sports personalities like Virender Sehwag and even actor turned politician, Smriti Irani also expressed their grief, over the tragic news of ‘chocolate lover boy’ Sushant Singh’s death.
Sushant Singh Rajput who played the role of Anni in Chhichhore, that supported his son in struggles of life and even discouraged the concept of suicide, has come across as an even ironic throwback for the late actor.
The actor who is known for sharing his thoughts and ‘musings’ on Instagram, had last shared a black and white collage of his late mother and him, which wrote, “Blurred past evaporating from teardrops. Unending dreams carving an arc of smile. And a fleeting life, neogotiating between the two…”
He has reportedly cleared as many as 11 engineering entrance exams and was also a National level Olympiad winner in Physics. His regular interests in star gazing, astronomy, martial arts and fitness were seen frequently on his Instagram account.
His role in Sonchiriya, of Lakhna was much appreciated and was his last on screen appearance.
Sushant is now survived by his father and 3 sisters, who are in a state of absolute devastation.
